Q.  Technology is changing very quickly in the alternative energy field. Will this e-book become outdated in the near future, like most print books?

A.  No. The very nature of e-books allows them to be updated continually. Any new developments in the field will be available to you on an ongoing basis, via e-mail. As technology continues to advance, this e-book will be updated accordingly. (It has already been revised once, with a chapter on solar roofing, and this has been forwarded to previous customers.) All revisions will be forwarded to you, free of charge.

Q.  Is this e-book written in a manner that the average person can understand?

A.  Yes. This e-book is intended to supply information to anyone interested in alternative energy, whether a newcomer to the area, or someone who has some awareness of the subject. 
It is written in non-technical terms that most people should have no problem understanding.
Remember, we are here to help you. If something is not clear, we'll do our best to clarify it for you, as soon as possible, via e-mail or phone.

Q. Is the e-book printable?

A.  Yes. Although, for security reasons, this is not standard practice in the e-book world, we have decided to make this e-book fully printable.
We feel that to get the best possible use out of an informational book like this, that you should have the option of having a printed copy of the information in hand as you go about your project.

Q.  Do I need any special software to open and read this e-book?

A.  Yes.  To open and read the ebook in .pdf format you will need Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Ebook Reader. These are both available as  free downloads. To download a free copy of either one, click here.

To read the .exe version of the ebook you will need Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or better. This is also a free download from Microsoft.

Q.  Does this e-book help me figure out what size of solar electric system that I need?

A.  Yes. This is discussed throughout the e-book. There are also numerous tables and worksheets in the appendix to take you through the process of sizing your complete system, step by step.

Q.  Does the e-book list any other sources of information on solar electric systems that would be helpful?

A. Yes. In the Appendix section there are over 150 direct links to online websites that deal with every aspect of alternative energy. 
This section of the e-book amounts to a major online resource library. You should be able to find answers to any questions that you have about any aspect of alternative energy by using these resources.
